Terms of Service
Last updated 19 October 2026
What DaShop is
DaShop operates a marketplace and directory connecting customers with businesses in Kenya, and acts as a reseller where DaShop is named as the seller. The seller shown on the product and order page is responsible for supplying the goods or services.
Shipping and returns
Orders follow the published Shipping & Delivery Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy. Confirm stock and the delivery quote with the seller before payment. The standard parcel cap does not apply to bulky, custom or specialist orders.
No payments through DaShop
DaShop does not process payment for products or services. Prices shown are supplied by the business and are indicative. Customers contact and pay businesses directly.
Territory licence
A territory grants one business the exclusive right to occupy one category in one ward on the platform, for as long as the licence is active. It is a licence to occupy a position; it is not ownership of the category, the ward, or any search ranking.
Verification
DaShop verifies businesses before activating a territory, which may include a physical visit by an approved verifier. Verification is a reasonable check, not a guarantee, and the verified badge may be withdrawn.
Ending a licence
Either side may end a monthly licence. DaShop may suspend or reassign a territory for non-payment after the grace period, for sustained poor quality, for inaccurate listings, or for breach of these terms. Territory is held, not owned.

What we collect
For customers: what you search for, the ward you select, and anything you type into an enquiry. For businesses: the details submitted in an application, including registration details used for verification.
What we do with it
We use it to run the platform, route enquiries to the right business, verify applicants and decide which counties to open next. We do not sell personal data.
Enquiries go to the business
When you send an enquiry or open a WhatsApp conversation, your message and number go to that business. We cannot retract it afterwards.
Registration details
Business registration numbers are used for verification and are not published on the site.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask for deletion of anything we are not legally required to keep. Write to privacy@dashop.co.ke.
Territory & Exclusivity Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026
One position per category per ward
By default a category in a ward has a single holder. While a territory is active, DaShop will not license the same category in the same ward to another business.
The shopper exception
A ward may be approved for a second personal shopper where demand justifies it. This is an administrator decision recorded against that ward, and it is disclosed on the ward page.
Status and reassignment
Every position carries a status. Non-payment moves a territory to a grace period, then suspension, then reassignment. Quality issues follow warning, improvement period, suspension, then reassignment.
What exclusivity does not cover
Exclusivity applies to the DaShop platform. It does not restrict competitors from trading, advertising elsewhere, or appearing in the open Directory, which is explicitly non-exclusive.
Directory listings
A directory listing is verified but confers no exclusivity of any kind, and does not reserve a category or ward.
